Andrew Jackson was born March 15, 1767. He was adopted as a child. He was against Britain during the war for independence. A fun fact when Jackson was boy he refused to clean a British soldier boots. At a young age he began to dual this would affect his adult life with severe health problems. He also had two brothers Hugh born 1763 and Robert born 1764.
His father died in an accident February 1767 at the age of 29. Jackson's father died three weeks before Jackson's birth. Because his father died before he was born his birth place is not confirmed because they went to the funereal right after he was born. His brother Hugh died from heat exhaustion at the battle of Stono Ferry. For a while at a young age he worked at a saddle-makers shop. Later he studied law at Salisbury, North Carolina.
Jackson was put in an orphanage at the age of 14. His mother died of disease in November of 1781. During the American Revolution he joined a militiary at the age 13. His parents are part Scottish and part Irish. Jackson blamed the British for his losses of his brother to war his other brother died frorm smallpox and his mom to cholera.
